Yvonne Cosgrove

Yvonne Cosgrove is a native Houstonian who grew up in West University and has called the Houston Heights home for 25 years. She attended Edgar Allen Poe Elementary School with New Leaf founder David Houston, and then went on to graduate from St. John’s School and The University of Texas at Austin.

Yvonne has had a wide variety of life and work experiences that have led her to a career in real estate. She began her career in event planning and then transitioned to fundraising and grant writing for several area nonprofits. Yvonne’s connection to the community and passion for our city run deep.

For eight years, Yvonne served as the Admissions Director for Trafton Academy, where she helped students and families find the right school home. For the last two years, Yvonne has worked with her husband, John, of HTX Appraisal, a boutique residential appraisal firm. In this role, she has gained an insider’s view into the world of real estate and particularly the Houston market. Taking what she has learned, Yvonne is ready to make her own mark in the Heights, West U, Southgate, Braes Heights, or wherever her clients take her.

Yvonne’s love for homes and real estate began surreptitiously. In 1998, when house-hunting for their first Houston home, John came to her and said he found a home that he was passionate about redoing. This home purchase began a years-long renovation project that included multiple additions along the way, and a love affair with redoing homes, and with the Heights. Yvonne and John still reside in that home. Their home won The Houston Heights Association Community Improvement Award, was featured in HGTV Magazine, and is periodically used for broadcast commercials. Yvonne’s attention to the details, both inside and outside, and her love for helping people, will inspire her approach to finding her client’s new dream home.

Yvonne and John raised their two wonderful children, Jake and Phoebe, in the Heights. Both kids now follow in their parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents’ footsteps and attend The University of Texas at Austin! They could not be prouder, Hook ’em!

In her free time, Yvonne loves baking, and she recently appeared on the cover of The West University Buzz for her legendary chocolate cake. Cooking family dinners has always been a priority, and on weekends she is often planning epic dinner parties with friends.

Amy Greene

Houston native Amy Greene obtained a Communications degree from The University of Texas at Austin, with a concentration in Business in 2004. Prior to Real Estate, her professional history includes Event coordination, Private Equity, and Interior Design. Her colorful resume emphasizes her passion in business, design and real estate.

Amy previously worked as an event coordinator for a large event facility and design company based in Dallas, TX, coordinating hundreds of national and local events. For a change of pace, she joined the Lehman Brothers Private Equity Fund of Funds team in Dallas, TX as a Marketing Associate in 2005 and remained with the company through the Lehman Brothers bankruptcy and subsequent buyout. She continued with the successor company, Neuberger Berman until 2012.

Returning to Houston in 2013, Amy decided to explore her passion for interior design and enrolled in classes pursuing an Interior Design degree. When she received a recruitment call from a successful and notable Houston Heights-area designer, Gilbert Perez of Bungalow Revival and Bespoke by GJCD, she put school on hold for more hands-on interior design experience. As fate would have it, two years later, the opportunity to fuse all of her fields presented itself with her position at New Leaf Real Estate.

Amy works alongside New Leaf owner and broker David Houston in nearly every aspect of purchase and sales transactions from accompanying showings, managing the inspection process, maintaining contact with clients and agents throughout the transaction and coordinating each step along the path to closing. Her energy, organization and proactive approach to client service have contributed to the success of New Leaf since joining the company in January 2016. Amy’s enthusiasm for Houstonians, the city and its architecture is passed along to her clients in each and every transaction.

Lindsay Mericli

Lindsay is a Houston transplant, moving to this amazing city in 2015 with her husband and young family. She immediately fell in love with Houston’s diverse culture and its many neighborhoods, each with unique attributes and offerings. Her approach to real estate transactions is highly personalized and includes:

  • mentoring and guiding you through the process of buying or selling a home
  • providing data-driven details to inform your decisions
  • ensuring that you feel comfortable and confident through every step of your real estate journey

Prior to real estate, Lindsay worked in nonprofit administration for 11 years, including at her favorite job, a fundraiser for the most architecturally significant historic home in our country, Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello. With a BA in Economics from Allegheny College and an MBA from Temple University, Lindsay understands how market and economic factors, national and local, affect your home buying and selling decisions. Despite loving the nitty gritty data behind real estate, her top priority is elevating the experience with exceptional service so you walk away feeling confident in the purchase of a home you truly love.

Lindsay is especially committed to helping physicians in their home search or transition to Houston. Her husband’s career as a physician meant several moves to cities around the country – relocating for medical school (Philadelphia, PA), residency (Charlottesville, VA), and fellowship (Houston, TX). They are permanently settled in Houston where he works at the world’s premier cancer hospital, MD Anderson Cancer Center. She knows first-hand how the financial situations of physicians impacts buying and selling a home, and how daunting it seems to move to a new city and find the perfect community to settle in (especially with a family in tow)! Lindsay is well-versed in the exclusive loan options available to physicians and will happily help you navigate that critical component of the home buying process. She wants you to walk away feeling like you had a trusted partner in your transition to Houston and/or home ownership!

Outside of work, Lindsay loves art and design. She can be found designing and renovating (and then redesigning!) her own home, making ceramics, gardening, sailing, and exploring the outdoors in her favorite place, Paradise Valley, Montana. She lives in Bellaire with her husband, two sons, and goldendoodle, George.

Lindsay is actively involved in the Bellaire and Houston communities. She was recently appointed to the City of Bellaire’s Culture and Arts Board and serves on the Executive Committee of CCSC’s Jingle Bell Express and the Event Committee of Books Between Kids. She is the proud Vice President of Allegheny College’s Alumni Council.
